The Chefs and the Teamaker 2008 recipe book
The Chef’s and the Tea Maker is a recipe book that evolved as a consequence of the unique partnership that was forged with the Founder of Dilmah and eight celebrated chefs from Australia. The chefs’ were assembled by Sri Lankan born Peter Kuruwita, an eminent chef and owner of Flying Fish Restaurant in Sydney. In their collaboration with the Founder and Dilmah, the chefs visited Sri Lanka accompanied by a television crew which recorded footage for a series of interstitials and a culinary travel documentary. During this tour the chefs were inspired to produce tea infused food and beverage recipes.
This booklet is the culmination of that close collaboration between experts in their respective fields. It contains a variety of exciting and imaginative recipes, both food and beverage based, and is intertwined with the story of the Chefs and The Tea Maker and the visit by the chefs to Sri Lanka. The book also features each of the celebrated restaurants of the chefs.
With recipes ranging from venison infused with English breakfast tea, to marmalade bread and butter pudding with Earl Grey infused prunes, this is indeed a must read for lovers of tea and cuisine!

Master Chef Simon Gault in Sri Lanka
Sunday Star Times- 5th September 2010 (download the original story)

Master Chef judge Simon Gault joins some of the finest chefs in the world in Sri Lanka for a challenge with a twist.
EXPERIMENTING WITH tea to fuse new flavours into food had already captured my imagination when I heard about a chance to go to Sri Lanka, the Isle of Spices and the home of Ceylon tea.
To spend 12 days with chefs from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and my long-time colleague Shane Yardley from Bistro Lago at Hilton Lake Taupo, as part of Dilmah Tea’s The Chefs and the Tea maker challenge, was an opportunity not to be missed.
